Essay on Contrasting Thomas Hobbes and John Locke
Contrasting Hobbes and Locke Nearly two-hundred and twenty-five years ago the United States of America chose to fight a Thomas Hobbes government, with the hope of forming a John Locke institution. The ideas of these men lead to the formation of two of the strongest nations in the history of the world: Great Britain followed by the United States. Thomas Hobbes viewed the ideal government as an absolute monarchy, due to the chaos of the state of nature in contrast, John Lockeââ¬â¢s ideal government was a democracy due to his beliefs of the equality of men. These men have shared a few of the same beliefs, but mainly contrast each other. Thomas Hobbes believed that man by nature is evil. It was clear to Hobbes, that men must group themselves together, with a leader capable of ensuring obedience of these natural laws. It is important that the group being governed is a large group because the small groups are not stable. The addition of only a few members with contrasting views to a small group, could destroy the entire community. Thus, small groups invite invaders and foster dissent. Hobbes to accepted that man bestowing his power in one leader, ââ¬Å"is more than consent, or concord; it is a real unity of them all, in one every man, I authorize and give up my right of governing myself, to this man, or on this condition, that thou give up thy right to him, and authorize all his actions in like manner.â⬠(CWT III, 38). The preceding quote was Hobbesâ⠬â¢s opinion of a social contract. This, Hobbes believed, was essential to man escaping the state of nature, and to the formation of a responsible government. Through this, complete power should be vested in one king, and the people who gave him this power need to trust and abide by him at all times. This is a great cause for concern. In order to reduce the morbidity and control this epidemic, we must first understand the risks and causes of this condition. It is of the upmost importance to first understand the risks and causes of this condition. Education plays a key role in order to recognize the clinical manifestations and necessary actions to best treatâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Left sided heart failure causes a decrease in cardiac output and can be further classified as systolic or diastolic. When the cardiac output is decreased and can not get enough oxygen to important organs, it is from an imbalance of stroke volume and heart rate. When a person experiences a myocardial infarction or continuous hypertension, the contractility of the heart decreases which directly influences the stroke volume. The stroke volume is the amount of blood pumped out of the heart per contraction so if that decreases, so does the cardiac output which decreases perfusion of the organs (Huether and McCance, 2012). Diastolic heart failure in the left side is when the ventricle has trouble filling to its full capacity which is usually caused by a stiffening or loss of contractility of the ventricle. Right sided heart failure is often times a response to left sided heart failure. When the left side of the heart has failed, the blood backs up into the lungs due to a decrease in output so the blood then backs up into the right side of the heart causing problems with it too. Heart failure in the right ventricle comes from it not being able to eject an adequate amount of blood into the pulmonary sy stem (Huether and McCance, 2012). Clinical Manifestation Symptoms of a patient with congestive heart failure differ depending on the side of the heart that is not functioning properly. Left sided heart failure

Craft Essay Example For Students
Craft Essay Art ÃÆ'à ¤rtn. Ãâà · Human effort to imitate, supplement, alter, or counteract the work of nature. Ãâà · The conscious production or arrangement of sounds, colors, forms, movements, or other elements in a manner that affects the sense of beauty, specifically the production of the beautiful in a graphic or plastic medium. Craft kr ft n. Ãâà · Skill in doing or making something, as in the arts; proficiency. . To make by hand. Ãâà · To make or construct something in a manner suggesting great care or ingenuity. Craft, the word has been with man for ages. There are unique mysteries in life that are usually provoking the true nature of reality, as us humans become aware of it. The genealogy of a man is equal to the idea that the term craft has evolved so beyond the understanding of the human mind. A skill in the form of an advanced, detailed, or progressive movement in the ability to perform with great skill in one view of behavioral science cannot be determined by meaning alone. It is a difficult word to be defined. The term craft I would mainly determine to be defined as the assemblage of objects that has some sort of interconnection to art, but it depends on the complexity of what is being built. After doing the many projects in class I have many different views on how craft is defined. A good example that would sort of involves both, primitive art and art deco in a small sense. Some of the African statues that are carved would have some geometric designs, which relates to the way in which the style of art deco slightly falls in is that would sometimes mean something in its own way. A person who could be making it for any kind of reason would usually make these sculptures by hand. Using his or her tools to be cutting into the material so that they can successfully make something with such craftsmanship, worth looking at. That is craft. Something like a fireplace with a few different color tiles that make a minor design, I deeply hesitate to call art or craft because of the fact that it seems to be so simple and isnt really hand crafted completely. That is just one example of art deco. When you look at the way some of the different buildings interior is made, in terms of the sculptures, paintings and furniture you may have a completely different view in what you think in your mind. Whatever technique they use to build the items with the different combination of colors etc. makes the final product look alluring to the eye. But with a mind creative enough it can done by anyone. Which makes me conclude my own opinion that art deco is not a craft that requires much skill. Whether it is a plaster plate, a personal icon made of a cardboard tube, beading, or maybe even a mosaic pot. Art is to me the end result of an individual or a groups crafting. There are some numerous different ways of making crafts, and what we have covered in class is not a fraction of a percent of the contrasting types that is out there. Some people can have a tendency to take it more to heart then others, as well as get inspired from various kinds of things. Although some of the contrasting styles are old and ancient, the different styles are used across the world everywhere by the diverse artists that have a great competence in those areas. To people who have not yet fully explored the fundamentals of craft would not see most of the complexity that has to do with it. So they are not able to express their feelings and emotions through their work in what ever they may be making.

My First Day at A University of Khon Kaen Essay Example
My First Day at A University of Khon Kaen Essay My First Day at A University of Khan Keen Have you ever been so excited that your heart cant stop beaten? Thats show I was on my my first day at the Khan Keen University. I was very excited, but also was frightened. I was about to meet people who were going to be with me for four years. I kept asking myself; would they be nice? That morning woke up very early but arrived at the faculty late because I dont know the schedule of the transport in the university; my body was petrified. I could not even breath, I thought l was bad the first impression but the cheer whom I studied the first class didnt come too. How lucky I am! It was me and a new world. A new group Of people with different points Of view, different lifestyles. Somehow the air was different because the smell was different from the common. The distance was another important point. All these points made me realize one thing. Im in a new world. Firstly, I had never been in the North East of Thailand. Dont know what about this part before, until come to here, Khan Keen University, the biggest university in the north east of Thailand. The environment was completely different from the one that used to live. This is the first difference for me. The lifestyle of the north and the north east is seemed to close but not. Another important aspect is the lifestyle that they have here. They eat everything especially meat, but I dont eat meat. All these aspect show me that its a different place. I dont know how, but the environment was completely different from the one that I used to stay. Somehow the air was different because it smells different from the one. Here we find a lot of trees and flowers that give a more rural aspect to the university, and the days here look longer than the common no matter how the weather is. The environment looks completely from other places. Secondly, came to a new university alone, no old friends like others. Was left in between those new people who hardly knew themselves and were looking forward in meeting a new friend. Like them, I was also seeking to meet someone who could help me in my troubles and to whom I can call as my friend. Then knew once I started talking to a friend, other people would also come to talk with me as they are also in search of a friend with whom they can talk and tell them about there a previous school and those moments that they have shared with their old friends and who were also seeking for a new friends. Then enough they will be caught in a vicious circle called friendship from which to come out is impossible. Something happened to me when I joined my new university. Other students around me were so new looking that newness in the circle brought me a creepy sanction of me being lone in the middle of this new world. Thirdly, the distance was another important point. I had never had to use a motorcycle to get to my university. I cant ride a motorcycle so that it made my life difficult. My faculty, Humanities and Social sciences, is near my dormitory, so I could us a Shuttle Bus, a university service transport to get to my faculty. Finally, I understood that Im in a rural area, and Im not in an urban as used to be. But living in a big place like this university without owning transport made me spend my life very difficult. All in all, the first day of a new university was good. Enjoyed most of my teacher, classmate, and classes. So this was my first day at a university which was filled with fear, remembrance, and strangeness which later became a golden moment, the moment I could enjoy later on. The moment are written with unarguable ink to my memories was one of the most important moments in my life. It was the moment of truth. It was me and a new world. It was a new group of people with different points of view and different lifestyle. All these aspects show me that its a new world.
